Sony is planning to release the leaked Sony Kumquat sometime this April. We believe the release is due to Sony’s leaked roadmap. This device will be an ideal option for people who love smaller than 4-inch display mid-range and high-end devices.
The novelty will be equipped with a 3.5-inch display with a resolution of 960×540 pixels (qHD!), a 1GHz dual-core processor, a 5 megapixel rear camera and Android OS (most likely Gingerbread with the possibility of update to ICS only after the launch).

The transparent strip occupying the bottom of the device resembles the Sony Xperia S (which is expected to get launched soon). The rest of the features will be revealed at Mobile World Congress 2012 to be held in February in Barcelona. In all probability, Sony representatives will also spread light upon the branding and the naming of the handsets.
We also expect the release of the popular Sony MT27i Pepper. This smartphone has similar features with the Sony Kumquat, but its display is slightly larger, reaching 3.7 inches.
The estimated price of the handset is 260 Euros (around $335). Affordable, isn’t it?
